On December 28, 2010 the CNIS celebrated the release of bloggers Emin Milli and Adnan Hadjizade and New Year. Among the participants of the party were Leila Aliyeva, Emin Milli, Adnan Hadjizade, Eldar Namazov, Hikmet Hadjizade, Bahar Hadjizade, Ali Abasov, Arzu Abdullayeva, Parvana Persiani, Ali Novruzov and CNIS staff.

All of the participants congratulated Emin and Adnan with the release and wished success in the New Year.

It shoudl be reminded that on November 18, Baku Appeals Court passed a decision to release Adnan Hajizadeh, a day later Salyan region court passed a decision to release Emin Milli. Two bloggers were sentenced to 2 and 2, 6 years respectively on charges under article 127.2.3 (“deliberate causing of minor serious harm to health”) 221.2.1 (“hooliganism”) of the Criminal Code.Their detention and later arrest was harshly criticized by local and international organizations.
