CNIS held a conference on “Azerbaijani-Turkish relations in a changing geopolitical context”

On January 27, 2012 Center for National and International Studies held in Caspian Plaza,Baku  a conference on “Azerbaijani-Turkish relations in a changing geopolitical context”. In her opening speech Leila Aliyeva, the President of the Center for National and International Studies, emphasized that “not only cultural and ethnic relations are the basis of the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey”. On April 1, 2011 CNIS held a conference on "National Identity and Politics: Dilemmas of Azerbaijan and Turkey".  Leyla Aliyeva, president of the Center of National and International Studies and political analyst opened the conference and emphasized that national identity in Azerbaijan was shaped in the early 20th century, during the existence of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic and was formed from the fusion of European and national ideology. Conference on “Army, State and Society: History and Turkey’s Experience” was held in Gakh City

On June 6, 2010 the Center for National and International Studies (CNIS) held a conference in Gakh City titled “Army, State and Society: History and Turkey’s experience.” Among the participants of the conference were the President of CNIS, Dr. Leila Alieva, Professor of Istanbul Yeditepe University, Dr. Mesut Casin, historian Hadji Hasanov, military analyst Cesur Sumerenly, local expert Fuzuli Manafov, as well as representatives of civil society, executive power of Gakh city, teachers and students.
